Whew! What a busy day. I had the championship swim meet, 2 soccer games, the City-Wide Science Fair, and now my parents are going out to an awards ceremony for my Dad’s section of the newspaper. Alanna’s coming to babysit. Guess what? I got first place in the City-Wide Science Fair for my grade level and section. We won our second game in soccer (I scored two of the 7 goals), and I got second in Freestyle at the meet. Today was BUSY!!! (and Millie scored a goal in her game too)

Book Review: The Invention of Hugo Cabret March 17, 2007
I read an awesome book called “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick.
There are lots of pictures in this easy-to-read book, even though there are 510 pages. It is about an orphan/thief/mechanic named Hugo, who is secretly acting as timekeeper after his mean, drunken uncle dies. In this book, Hugo’s normally undercover life is put out for display when he meets a unique, book-loving girl named Isabelle and an irritable old man named “Papa” Georges. Isabelle and Hugo together find out Papa Georges’ true identity. When people start to find Hugo out, his most precious thing, a broken mechanical man, is put in jeopardy. Will Hugo abandon Isabelle or FIGHT until the end? You have to read this eccentric book to find out!
Soccer Day! March 14, 2007
I had soccer today. My team is part of the Norfolk United Soccer Club. We had a hard practice today!!! My team scrimmaged and I scored five goals. Now I’m tired, sort of, and I am about to have dessert. I’m going to have ice cream. See ya. 
I’m So Tired and So Hungry! March 12, 2007
Tonight I swam a swim practice with my team, the Norfolk Silver Dolphins! Guess how many yards I swam during that hour and a half? 1,675 yards! Now I’m really tired and hungry, and get Salmon Burgers. I want to go to bed NOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding! It’s only 8:34 pm………………… Back from dinner! Now I’m just plain tired (yawn). Good night!!
I saw a Broadway musical March 4, 2007
Today I saw a great Broadway musical called The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! It was really really good! I had so much fun!!!!!!!!! My mother and grandmother came with me. It was about some “kids”, played by grown-ups, who are in a spelling bee. The musical was really quite comical. I caught some candy and a dictionary card that the actors were throwing at us! It began at 2:30 and ended at 4:15. After the musical, we went to Trader Joes. While my mom, my grandma, and I were at the musical, my dad and sisters were at the Virginia Living Museum.
Oh, by the way, I’m over the flu!!!! Bye for now!!
